Kuwait: 50th year of Independance

9 September 11

Kuwaits 50th anniversary of Independence, 20 years of freedom and 5 years of his Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, a Operetta was held in the Royal Theater.

TREE-ON was asked to provide the Visuals (3D & motion graphics) for the show. TREE-ON went with a team of motion graphics designers to Kuwait and worked several weeks in our Kuwait apartment. Driving back and forth, testing and previewing the footage in the Emirs palace! This amazing experience was amplified by the presence of the Amir and several world leaders and delegates (Wim Kok, Colin Powell, Tony Blair and many more).

The TREE-ON team worked day and night and worked closely with TEN-FEET and Hulskamp to create an amazing show in arabic style! The show was performed by 1300 Kuwaiti youth and children, to show their gratitude towards His Highness.

On the background you will see the big video screen. For this scene we created an image strip of old photo’s from the emir. We putted hundreds of photo’s that we’ve got from the emirs private archive.

A semi transparant gauze screen was used to create a floating image. The actors and dancers could dance both in front and behind the screen. For us, as media production team, we have to be very involved because the visuals are literally interacting with the actors.
